W. Clifford Watts are a trusted supplier of premium grade recycled and primary aggregates to the construction industry and civil engineers throughout Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire.

With extensive knowledge of the disposal and recycling industry, our aim is to provide an environmentally sustainable and economical solution to the waste management requirements of the construction sector.

We now produce circa 50,000 tonnes of recycled aggregates per year.
The product range includes Clay, Soil (both screened and unscreened), Crushed Concrete (Type 1 Graded and Hardcore) and Tarmac Planings.

Recycled aggregates are now responsible for nearly 20% of aggregates used in the UK and this upward trend looks set to continue.

Recycled products are a cost effective solution where appearance is not a prime consideration.
Our recycled aggregates originate mainly from demolition projects. They are then processed by our mobile crushing and screening equipment.
We have the capability to recycle materials on site or at one of our recycling centres.

In addition to delivering aggregates we offer cartaway, haulage and site clearance services using our own large modern fleet of tipper trucks and grab lorries.

Customers can arrange one-off or regular waste soil collection services through W. Clifford Watts Ltd. Payments can be made using cash, credit/debit cards or on an approved net monthly credit account.

Obtaining a contaminated soil report.

If a suitable soil analysis report is not available the client will need to arrange for one to be provided. This process is reasonably straightforward but please be advised that this must be undertaken by an ACAS approved laboratory.

A soil analysis is used for identifying the contaminant(s) in the soil, the level of contamination present and will dictate the location for disposal.

DOT TYPE 1 Crushed concrete
MOT Type 1 is also commonly known as DOT Type 1 (named after the Department of Transport specification for granular sub-base material). It is the most widely used approved sub-base in the construction industry.

In order for a product to be classed as 'Type 1' quality it must comply with the Department of Transport Specification for Highway Works.

DOT Type 1 is easy to compact with superb load bearing qualities.
Recommended for any highly trafficked area and most commonly used as a sub-base for highways, car parks, footpaths, driveways, hard standings and building bases. Any application where a firm sub-base is required.

6F5 Crushed concrete
Used for Hardcore, Trench Fill, Back Fill, Capping Layer, Over site fill, Highway works clause 803 sub base.

6F5 Crushed brick
For hardcore, trench fill, back fill, capping layer and over site fill.

Washed recycled 40mm to 20mm Drainage Material
Uses: Suitable for soakaways, land drains, drainage

Washed recycled 20mm to 10mm Pipe Bedding
Uses: Suitable for soakaways, land drains, drainage

Washed recycled 10mm to 5mm Pipe Bedding
Uses: Suitable for soakaways, land drains, drainage

Washed recycled paving sand
Uses: Suitable for block paving, laying under flagstones, bedding for pipes and ducts, cable sand, fill sand and blinding sand
